About Bob
This is the website for Ann Claytor’s blog where I share my thoughts and reflections on the things I have been reading, watching, listening to, experiencing and considering.
It incorporates the archived content of Bob Claytor’s Art, Design and Technology website. Bob and I were married from 1988 until 2019.
Bob studied Fine Art Painting at Central Saint Martins School of Art and went on to gain an MA in Art and Design at Sheffield Hallam University. He worked as a self-employed artist and designer between 1985 and 2001, completing a number of large scale public art works around Sheffield and producing paintings and drawings. He trained as an Art, Design and Technology teacher and taught the subject at secondary schools in South and West Yorkshire.
Bob retired in September and intending to return to making art full time. He set up most of the archived content of this website in 2019 as a space where he could share his reflections on the process of making art and offer work for sale.
Bob died suddenly at Christmas 2019 aged 59.
This website is dedicated to his memory. Please take some time to look through the pages at the beautiful work that this very talented, gentle man made.’
An exquisitely chosen assortment of work from up-and-coming artists.
