“In from the Cold”

The painting is a response to reading the book by John le Carre of the same name. It was about the time the Berlin wall came down when it was completed and so was also informed by that experience of seeing all the memorable historical scenes on TV. It is a large painting and I like to think that it will dominate a room with its optimism and subtle sense of joy and hope.
